While the music is being performed, scenes from the movies will be projected onto a giant screen above the musicians.
Promising to be one of the most exciting concerts ever to be staged locally, ‘A night at the Races’ is under the directorship of Noel Barr (Britannia) and Trevor Carter (Dundonald), and there will be excerpts from Mama Mia, The Lion King, Les Miserables, Shrek, The Blues Brothers, James Bond, Pirates of the Caribbean, Braveheart, Star Wars, The Mission and many more.
Tickets can be booked from the Waterside Theatre Box Office on 02871 314000.
Also on sale on these evenings will be a CD of the Showstoppers concerts recorded recently in the Millennium Forum in collaboration with the Londonderry Musical Society. These CDs with 25 high quality tracks are also available from band members and members of the LMS, priced £10.
