Hide AdDes explained: “We are all set and ready to get the cooker out on the road. Over the last number of weeks the support we have had from both local businesses and general public has been outstanding. We have been collecting in a number of towns across Northern Ireland and the support has been tremendous. Now I am looking forward to getting out on the road and meeting the people along the way. Please do continue to dig deep and give what you can to help these two very needy charities.”
Denis Loughrey for the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) explained: “We applaud Des for taking on this challenge – it is certainly no mean feat! On behalf of SVP, I would like to sincerely thank him for including us as part of his fundraising efforts. As our service is fully funded by the generous donations from the public and business organisations, it would not be possible without the like of Des and those that support such fundraising activities so we are extremely grateful.”
Ann Walker from Action MS added: “Action MS has many reasons to be grateful to Des who has given unswerving support. Des is a remarkable man who is very generous with his time in supporting charities including fundraising for the purchase of a mobile home for MS sufferers and their families in Portstewart.”
The Cooker push has been kindly sponsored by Waterford Stanley and Q Radio Network.
