Nailed it! NRC students show off their skills
The event which was organised by NRC Lecturers Leanne Clydesdale and Kelly Brown brought together the Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy students, to create a show full of glamour and fun, entitled ‘The wonderful world of Disney’.
Judging the competition were Laura Donnelly a past Beauty student of the College who now runs a successful nail salon business in Ballymena called ‘Sitting Pretty’, Catherine Hughes also a past Beauty student who likewise runs her own successful business ‘Catherine’s Beauty Boutique’ and Alison Jackson, NRC Curriculum Manager Beauty and Holistics.

Hide AdThe students were judged on the character they created and on the nail art they designed to complement their creation. Winner of the competition was Rebecca McAllister- Alice in Wonderland, 2nd place was awarded to student Rhonda Kelly – Pirates of the Caribbean and 3rd place awarded to Melissa Kilpatrick and her creation- The Nightmare before Christmas.
Leanne and Kelly added that they were very proud of the achievements of all the students and that they have all demonstrated a very high level of skill and creativity throughout the competition.
Supporting the College and the students with their experience and sponsorship of prizes were, Glynis Taylor from Young Nails, Laura Donnelly from Sitting Pretty, Catherine Hughes from Beauty Boutique, Beauty Express, Euro Products, Florence Roby and Vita Liberata.
