Mayor welcomes announcement of new jobs for Ballymena

The Ballymena based bus building company is set to employ 46 new members of production and office staff including coachbuilders, spray painters, welders, electrical engineers, technicians, accountants, sales staff and a project manager
Nineteen of the positions will be apprenticeships, giving a boost to opportunities for young people in the region.

Hide AdMayor Councillor, Peter Johnston said: “These jobs will provide a significant boost to the local economy. It will generate a range of employment opportunities especially for our young people with the creation of 19 apprenticeship positions.
“As a Council we are proud to be working closely with Wrightbus on a strategic and long-term vision to establish Ballymena as a ‘hydrogen hub’ as we position the Mid and East Antrim Borough as a key component of the government’s green energy revolution.”
