Causeway Peace Group bids farewell to Carol
At the annual general meeting in Dunluce Parish Centre, Canon George Graham led the worship on the theme of Ascension Week, with a reading from Luke 24 and prayers for those who labour for peace.
Mrs Pat Crossley updated the Group on future plans for Peace III and Rose Minihan explained the arrangements for the outing to Derry/Londonderry on Saturday, June 9.

Hide AdCarol then discussed the Tenth Anniversary Service of Thanksgiving which will take place in Ballintoy Parish Church on Sunday, May 27 at 6.30pm.
The service will be conducted by Rev. P. Barton and Rev. H. O’Kane with guest speakers Dr Johnston McMaster and Dr Cathy Higgins from the Irish School of Ecumenics.
Carol said that she had enjoyed very much her time as chairperson and thanked everyone for their support over the years, especially those who were with her from the foundation of Bushmills Peace Group.
Canon Graham, in wishing her well for the future, commended her for her courage through the difficult early years and for her commitment to peace-making.

Hide AdThe following office-bearers were elected: Joint Chairpersons: Eleanor Duff and Ann Irvine; Secretary: Beatrice Higgins; Treasurer: Eamon Brolly; Hospitality: Rose Minihan; Press Officer: Sandra McElnea. Committee: Phyllis Brown, Daphne Bustard, Eilish Norrie and Mary Taylor.
The new chairpersons briefly introduced themselves, claiming that Carol was a hard act to follow and promising to look after “her baby”, the Peace Group. Causeway Coast Peace Group wish Eleanor, Ann and the committee every success in the year ahead.
