WW1 sculpture to be unveiled
A dedication ceremony will be performed by the Mayor’s Chaplain, Rev. Francis Bach at 2.00 p.m.
The Sculpture, created by Beltane Studios, Peebles, Edinburgh and funded by donations from local businesses groups, public donations and Ballymoney Council, will stand proudly alongside the marble plaques bearing the names of the fallen at Ballymoney Cenotaph.

Hide AdThe Parade will form up at North Road from 1 p.m. and will move off at 1.30 p.m. and following the dedication of the sculpture will parade the town. The parade route will be High Street, Church Street, Victoria Street, Charles Street (where the salute will be taken, and disperse at Model School Road.
Commenting ahead of the event Mayor Kennedy said: “Those citizens from Ballymoney Borough who answered their country’s call and those who gave their lives to preserve our way of life are remembered with honour and it is a fitting tribute that in this 100th anniversary year a memorial statue should be placed at Ballymoney War Memorial.”
Sammy McClements commented: “Remembrance transcends all boundaries. This event marking a significant period in our shared history will create interest and memories and greater understanding in our community. This is a proud day for Ballymoney and I am proud of what we have achieved through the support of our Council and our community”
