Carrick artwork on display at new location
The artwork was originally from Women’s Aid in Carrickfergus.
Emma Craig, floating support worker, who spoke at the presentation event, said: “The artwork was created by the Women’s Forum in Carrickfergus and gifted to Women’s Aid and had been a fixture at our premises in Carrickfergus. It now gives us great pleasure to pass this wonderful artwork for those in Newtownabbey to enjoy.”

Hide AdGrace McGurk (centre), community resettlement worker, said: “We are delighted to accept this beautiful artwork and for what it signifies; an abused woman’s journey through her life towards a life free from domestic abuse. One in four women will suffer domestic violence in their lifetime, be it physical, sexual, emotional, psychological or financial.
“Anyone living with abuse is not to blame for the abuse, nor are they on their own as support is available from a variety of agencies.”
