Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a detached bungalow near Castledawson.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews used four jets to extinguish the blaze at Derrygarve Park on Monday afternoon.

It is believed a sounding smoke alarm alerted the occupier, and there are no reports of injuries.

Fire crews from Magherafelt, Maghera and Northland Stations attended the incident.
