Cirque Fashion Show donation to Women's Aid
In a surprise addition to the donation raised through the generosity of those who attended the Cirque Fashion show Cllr Stephanie Quigley and Cindy McKendry presented a beautiful piece of artwork by local artist Maria Mitchell.
The piece entitled “Tenderness” is exactly what Causeway Women’s Aid wish for all those who need to access our services. Speaking on behalf of Causeway Women’s Aid Sharon Burnett said: “We owe a big thank-you to Stephanie and Cindy for coordinating such an amazing event and to all those who attended for buying tickets and giving so much to the raffle on the night. The local businesses and designers who supported the event also went above and beyond anything that could have been expected. With this donation we will be able to respond to the needs of women and children in crisis and know how much of a difference this will make for which we are very grateful.”
