Magherafelt man had '˜no recollection' of crash that left him unconscious in a field
Forty-two-year-old Cecil Donnelly, of Rainey Street in Magherafelt, was fined a total of £265 with seven penalty points for driving without due care and attention.
A prosecuting lawyer told the court that on May 2 last, police responded to a report of a one vehicle collision on the Moneymore Road, Magherafelt.

Hide AdShe said on arrival they observed a heavily damaged vehicle overturned in a field.
Counsel said a man was standing by the side of the vehicle and the defendant was inside unconscious.
The prosecutor said it was established that the injured party had been driving the vehicle.
Continuing, she explained that there were skid marks on the roadway and a fence had been flattened.

Hide AdShe added that Donnelly had no recollection of the incident or could not offer an explanation to police as to how it occurred.
Defence solicitor Donal Heron said defendant was still attending medical appointments as a result of the accident. Mr Heron added that the defendant was no longer able to work but would require his driving licence.
