Davis Day for Cullybackey? He’s one of their own!
Plans are already in motion to give the entire NI football team a Mid & East Antrim Civic reception but fully fledged Green and White Army stalwart, Cllr. Stewart McDonald is leading the calls for Cullybackey to have its very own ‘Davis Day’!
The Bannside TUV man, just back from the final qualifying game in Finland, said that everyone in Northern Ireland should be proud of the leadership and footballing qualities shown by Davis.

“I am very keen to work towards a special celebration for Steven in his home village of Cullybackey where people can come out and applaud a true hero of local football who has always been a terrific ambassador for this entire area. He’s one of Cullybackey’s own and the village would love to honour his performances.”
And, if Cllr. McDonald got his way, the honours wouldn’t stop at Cullybackey: “Having followed him throughout this camapign, I’d be very happy to vote to give him the freedom of the Borough!”
