Glenravel Oil Club is slick operation!
Due to the success of the Glenravel scheme, and through significant funding from the Public Health Agency, grants have been awarded to other groups within the Council areas of Ballymena, Ballymoney, Coleraine and Limavady to follow suit.
Among them are Kells & Connor Community Improvement Association, Cloughmills Community Action Team and The Glens Community Association.

Hide AdAnne Donaghy, Chair of the Cluster and Chief Executive of Ballymena Borough Council, said: “This is a great opportunity for these community groups to build on the success of Glenravel Oil Club and help their communities put money back into the pockets of those households that struggle to heat their homes.”
To mark their launch and the success of Glenravel Oil Club, a celebratory event was held in the Braid last Wednesday, attended by the Mayor and Councillors.
It was through the support of Ballymena Borough Council and funding from the Public Health Agency that Glenravel Oil Club was established last October by Glenravel District Community & Residents’ Association to help purchasers of home heating oil to combine their orders and make savings by buying in bulk.
To date 170 members have joined the club resulting in savings of up to £36 per delivery.
