Grammar pupils push for Marine Bill
Part of the purpose of the trip was to learn more about our seabirds and the importance of clean, productive seas- for animals, birds and people.
As the Marine Bill is currently being discussed in the Environmental Committee at Stormont, the pupils thought it would be a timely reminder to MLAs to push ahead with the implementation of the Bill as we are a few years behind the rest of the UK in terms of protection for our seas.

Hide AdPupils Callum McRoberts said: “It just seems so sensible to have marine reserves. They protect marine species and through acting as breeding grounds for our fish will help ensure a sustainable future for fishermen.”
