The funeral of loyalist Geordie Gilmore took place in Carrick this afternoon amid a heavy police presence.

A column of mourners followed the coffin after a service at the Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Gilmore was murdered in his car at Pinewood Avenue in Carrick’s Woodburn estate last week.

Police investigations are continuing.
