Monthly meeting of Bushmills branch of the Royal British Legion
A large number of members were present.
Messages of sympathy were passed to the family of Comrade Brian McdDwell and to the members of the security forces recently killed in Afghanistan.
The standard was received by the branch president.
Main topic of business was arrangements for our Queen’s Jubilee cream tea and Coronation exhibition in Portballintrae village hall on Saturday 2 June from 11am-4pm.

Hide AdSeven members will be taking part in the Belfast Marathon nine mile walk proceeds to the Poppy Appeal.
Normal business concluded the chairman introduced Mr Geoff Bainbridge who gave a talk on the history of the vulcan bomber of which he had been a crew member.
Also present was Mr Robert McConaghie a member of the UDR/RIR aftercare team who gave a very comprehensive insight into their welfare work.
At the close of the meeting ladies of the branch provided a cream tea supper.
