New-Bridge student's website wins spider award
The 9JK pupil was awarded Best Individual Project in the Giga Spider Category at Croke Park on April 25, for his website YouthTech.
Jack was delighted that the website had been shortlisted in two categories in the age 13-15 group for Giga Spiders, the other category being for Creative Web Coding.

Hide Ad“Jack is a very determined and ambitious young man with an admirable and very mature approach to independent learning and skill building,” his form tutor A. Traynor said.
“His understanding of ICT and computing is very impressive and he really understands the benefit of this for his future. Despite his success, Jack is a well-rounded, humble and courteous young man who is always willing to support his peers and share his ideas and knowledge.
“Jack and his parents have much to be proud of and we are certainly very proud of him here at New-Bridge.”
Jack is self-taught has put many hours into coding YouthTech.ie and thoroughly deserves his success.
The Awards were hosted by Aidan Power from RTE with school finalists from 25 counties taking part.
