‘Outstanding’ results at St Patrick’s
Addressing the packed gathering of parents, pupils, governors, guests and staff at the annual Prize Distribution, she reported that 75% of students achieved five or more GCSE’s at A*-C.
Forty-nine per cent of students achieved seven or more GCSE’s at A*-C with 19 students achieving eight GCSE’s at those grades.

Hide AdIn Year 11, 15 pupils achieved Grade C or higher in GCSE Science (Single Award) while all modern languages students achieved at grade C or higher in GCSE French, Irish and Polish, with 88% of those grades at A*-B.
Seven students successfully completed both AS and A2 level Polish in one year, with three achieving an A grade at both levels.
In fact, in 11 subjects, there was a pass rate at A*-C of 80% and above, with eight of those subjects achieving over 90% and five of them – Art & Design, French, Irish, Polish and PE – achieving a 100% pass rate.
At ‘A’level, in five courses taken, students achieved a 100% success rate at Grades A*-C.

Hide AdOne hundred per cent achieved A*-A in Art & Design, with five students achieving at the recently introduced A* grade.
Eighty-two per cent of students taking the BTEC Subsidiary Award in Sport gained either a Distinction or a Starred Distinction and Year 13 Art & Design students enjoyed a 90% pass rate at Grade A.
Mrs Magee said: “Although today is essentially about looking back, it is also an opportunity for all of us to look forward.
“We have a very proud past, but we also have a very bright future.”
