Park fun run planned for hospice service
This is the second year of this event after a successful inaugural run took place in February 2014.
David Wilson, a teacher in St Michael’s Grammar school, who helps organise the event said: “We were delighted with the response last time when over 220 local runners took part.

“Lurgan Park is a great setting for the run and the distances are ideal for experienced runners preparing for longer distances, runners looking to get fit or absolute beginners who are just getting into running. Indeed if anyone wants to walk the 5k or 10k distances that would be great too.
“We have been working with Hospice Volunteers again to make sure the event is a success and also the council has been great in allowing us to use their facilities again.
“We are hoping for another good turnout on the day.”
Southern Area Hospice provides their service across the entire Southern Health Board, including Newry & Mourne, Craigavon, Banbridge, Portadown, Armagh and Dungannon.
