Philip is welcomed to Cullybackey Methodist
Originally from Dungannon, Philip grew up in a Christian family and came to saving faith in the Lord Jesus at the age of 20.
From then on, God began to steer him in the direction of ministry.

Hide AdAfter finishing a Chemistry degree at Queens, Philip spent one year at Faith Mission Bible College where her met his wife, Susan, who is from South Korea.
He then studied at the Gordon Conwell Seminary just outside Boston in America for four years, eventually completing a Master of Divinity qualification.
Talking about his working background, Philip said: “After Faith Mission Bible College I worked for two years in the Dungannon circuit as an Assistant.
“There were four Churches on that circuit and I preached every week as well as doing youth work and Pastoral visitation.

Hide Ad“When I was in America I worked in a Korean-American Church and I preached weekly to a small English Ministry group within that church.
“Last year when I was an Edgehill College preparing for the ministry I worked part-time covering for the Minister of Greencastle Methodist Church who was sick.”
Cullybackey Methodist is Philip’s first full-time charge and he is certainly looking forward to getting started.
He adds: “I am very excited: it is a wonderful Church.
“I am taking over from a great Minister, Rev. Dr. Brian Fletcher, and the leadership team that is in place seem like very good people who are eager to reach out and build the Church.”

Outside Church, Philip loves sports, especially rugby, football and table-tennis.
. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Susan and young sons, Joshua and Jeremiah.
