£7,000 drugs seized in ‘H’ District during ‘Torus’
In total. over 170 drugs related operations were carried out across the policing district by officers in the areas of Ballymena, Ballymoney, Coleraine, Larne and Moyle.
H DIstrict Commander Chief Superintendent Chris Noble said: “Operation Torus has been a unanimous success, for local communities and for local officers working with communities to tackle this problem. Criminals have been arrested and drugs have been removed from our streets.

Hide Ad“The continued support of the public for policing has enabled officers to carry out their duties and apprehend those involved in this type of crime.
“Our colleagues across the province have taken the fight to the doors of those intent on breaking the law. This robust attitude will not stop as Operation Torus ends, but will continue and Op Torus will act as a reminder to those involved in street drug dealing, that they will be caught.”
The Chief Superintendent thanked the officers involved in the operation, particularly those in the local Neighbourhood Policing Teams and the anti-crime teams.
He said: “Their dedication, integrity and hard work have resulted in these excellent results. Their relationship with the local community has undoubtedly helped in providing information of those involved. My officers will continue to keep H District safe, and their efforts have been warmly received across the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
