Signatures sought for petition on Pinewood’s future
Margaret Wallace whose mother Agnes Dickey has been resident there for the past nine years said she was moved to tears when she heard the news on Tuesday, having been called to a meeting at the premises on Frys Road.
“There is no better place for my mother to be,” she said. “The staff are absolutely wonderful from the management, carers, catering staff and domestics - they are just like a family and treat the residents as if they are their own.

Hide Ad“I knew the writing was on the wall when they stopped taking permanent residents but it was still a shock to be told - I was in tears.”
Mrs Wallace says she is now “sitting back” to see what happens next.
“I was told that I would see my social worker and a manager in July so I’ll be sitting back to see what they are going to do then.”
