Success of Meet the Buyer event
Eight public sector buyers across Northern Ireland were present at the event including, Translink, Police Service of Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Water, Lisburn City Council, South Eastern & Education Library board, North Down Borough Council, South Eastern Regional College and BSO-PaLS.
Chair of the Council’s Economic Development Committee, Alderman Jim Dillon, expressed his delight at the Council’s annual event: “Meet the Buyer provided companies with new tendering and upcoming sourcing opportunities as a result of attending these pre-arranged meetings. The all day event gave local businesses a chance to receive information and advice on the key stages of the procurement process and how it is defined, as well as gaining a better understanding of approved supplier lists and frameworks. I look forward to hearing the value of future contracts won as a result of this great event.”
