Timothy Gaston of the TUV has taken the first of the 20 available ‘Ballymena’ seats on the new Mid & East Antrim Council.

Speaking shortly after his victory the TUV man had praise for recently retired councillor Roy Gillespie.

He said this win was a tribute to Roy.
