World Book Day in libraries
A main aim of World Book Day in the UK and Ireland is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to have a book of their own and a many libraries across Northern Ireland will be holding special events to mark this day.
Libraries throughout Northern Ireland will be holding special World Book Day Rhythm & Rhyme sessions during that week. Rhythm & Rhyme sessions give babies and toddlers the opportunity to enjoy free stories, songs and rhymes with their parents/carers. Almost 80 libraries throughout Northern Ireland hold free regular Rhythm & Rhyme sessions.
