Harkin, who is out of contract in January, has spoken with several clubs including Derry City and champions Cliftonville to name but two.
Reds boss Tommy Breslin confirmed on Saturday that he had spoken to the midfielder, but added nothing had been agreed.

And he said again on Saturday that he fully believes Harkin will consider what Coleraine has to offer before reaching any decision.
“We are meeting with Ruairi this week to sit down and discuss a new contract. I think he has spoken with a few clubs at this present time,” Kearney stated.
“As I said last week though he has given me his word he will do nothing until he speaks with us. I know Ruairi is a man of his word, I have a lot of time for him and I’m more than happy to take his word on that.”

“Barry is a true leader, and a former captain of Derry City,” Baxter said.
“He wanted a new challenge in the Irish League and he is a very positive signing for us.
“I have a few contacts in the North West and I know of Barry from Setanta Cup games. He was keen to sign for us and we are delighted.

“He can score goals and he works hard. He likes to get into the box and he is another positive addition for us. He and Barry have both played in England – so they have bags of experience.”
