Irish League rivals team up with fans and get creative for NHS support
Organised by the team behind the popular ‘The Waffle’ Irish League podcast, someone from each club posed holding up a letter to spell out the phrase ‘Support the NHS’.
The following offered backing to the project: Tony Kane (Ballymena United), Niall Currie (Carrick Rangers), Ben Doherty (Coleraine), Jamie Harney (Cliftonville), Jamie McGonigle (Crusaders), Kris Lindsay (Dungannon Swifts), Kyle Beggs (Glenavon), Rory Donnelly (Glentoran), Dean Curry (Institute), Tiernan Lynch (Larne), Andy Waterworth (Linfield) and Fra McCaffery (Warrenpoint Town). Conor Houston and Gareth Frazer represented ‘The Waffle’ team.

Hide Ad“These are very tough times for us as a society, but we’re pulling together so well,” said Conor Houston from ‘The Waffle’ podcast. “I am so sure that this image will lift the hearts and heads of football fans today.
“I myself am working on the frontline, so see first hand all the effects of this right now and can’t wait for the day we’re back making podcasts and going to Irish League games.”
