Ports' double IFA hearing adjourned
The meeting planned for tonight (Monday) was designed to review a double appeal by Portadown against IFA Disciplinary Committee rulings on two fronts.
A 12-point deduction imposed by the IFA in relation to Peter McMahon’s contract status marked the first issue, alongside a problem connected to the deadline for payment of fines resulting in a proposed “suspension of football activities” by the disciplinary committee.

Hide AdA statement released by the IFA confirmed the decision to delay a final verdict.
“An appeals board met this evening to consider appeals from Portadown FC against rulings by the Irish FA Disciplinary Committee,” it stated. “Having heard oral evidence from both the committee and the club, the board adjourned the hearing - instructing the parties to submit additional documentary evidence to the board within seven days.
“Once this has been submitted the members of the board will reconvene to conclude their deliberations.”
