Rangers need goals galore, says Taggart
Rangers’ Championship 1 campaign kicks off this weekend with the visit of Donegal Celtic to Taylors Avenue, and Taggart knows the west Belfast men will be difficult to break down.
“I think it’s a tough opener,” he said. “I know we lost to Donegal Celtic in the last game of last season with a very changed team. We know that they have signed a lot of young, fit players. They’ll be in-your-face and will make it very hard for us to settle on the ball.”

With more firepower in the ranks, the 33-year-old hometown hero reckons Rangers could pose a more attacking threat during Gary Haveron’s first full season in charge.
“I think we need to score more goals ... I wouldn’t say we struggled with goals last year, but we didn’t get them from everywhere,” he said.
“I think with Cherry signing, Correy back on board and Conor McCloskey pushing on a little bit more, that’s what the manager is looking for.”
