Chris claims the Pro’s Prize after count-back win
There was a slight breeze and with the greens in excellent condition good scores were expected from the 230 competitors.
As many as 14 competitors had nett scores less than 70. Chris McKnight (12) and Ronnie McCully (14) topped the leaderboard with net scores of 64.

Hide AdChris played steadily to reach the turn in 38. After dropping a stroke at 10 he registered seven pars only to finish with a bogey at the final hole for a total of 76.
Ronnie recovered from an opening seven with a birdie three at the second. After six pars he dropped a stroke at the ninth for a front nine of 38.
He started the back nine with five pars but finished with four bogeys to lose out on count-back for top spot.
Tom Crawford (17) finished one stroke in arrears with a net 65. A six at 16 ruined his chances. Chris Scott threw away his chance of victory with three sevens but did well to finish on 66.

Hide AdChris Moulds and Ryan Symington went out in 35 and 34 respectively. They were both four under par on the final tee. Ryan’s par three clinched the gross prize as Chris took four.
