Lightfoot claims top spot at Carrick Captain’s Day
Over 260 members and guests competed for a wonderful array of prizes with Terry Lightfoot winning the Captain’s prize with 41 points.
Even after firing his first drive into the dreaded dam, Mark Duggan returned the same score to take second place and Colin Murphy finished in third place with 39 points.

Hide AdLow section winners were Jai Johnston (39 points), Colin Skilling (38 points) and Barry McCormick (38 points). High section winners included: John Lemon (39 points), David Porte (39 points) and Colin Watson (38 points). Graham Arthur was the Gross winner (37 points), Jim McIlwaine won the Guests’ prize, Billy Robinson the Council Prize while Richard Pedlow won the Student Associate Prize. Andrew Dillon won the prize for Longest Drive.
Meanwhile, in the Fred Daly Plate Carrickfergus defeated Greenacres 6.5 to 0.5 and are looking good to progress with the home leg still to come.
