Maybin fails to secure tour card

Hide AdOpening rounds of 74, 71 and 72 had seen the former Larne Grammar pupil languishing in joint-92nd place. But in a remarkable two-under fourth round display which saw him land 10 birdies, a double-bogey and a triple-bogey, he jumped to a share of 54th spot.
However, he failed to build on that momentum and after six years in the same ranks as Europe’s elite golfers, faces the prospect of returning to the Challenge Tour.
