IN spite of the very wet weather and wet conditions underfoot the open stableford went ahead at Faughan Valley on Saturday.
The mens winner Barry Reilly (14) returned a good score of 40 points, second was Trevor Lewers and Captain Terry Dornan was third. Christopher Nutt won the back nine and Paul Duffy won the gross prize.
Due to the weather the ladies played 12 holes only with vice captain Marion Sayers (24) winning with a score of 26 points. The youngest member of the club Loren Smallwoods (20) came in second and also got the prize for nearest the pin, while Mary McArthur from Redcastle was third.
