McLernon claims win

Hillsborough Quad rider Mark McLernon claimed the overall win at the North Armagh Off Road Section promoted second round Championship at Tandragee Motocross Park on Saturday after three races produced three different winners.

A great days racing was headlined by the Premier Quad class on a packed day of racing where the Club tried to give the riders real value for money.

Race 1 of the JMK Sales Premier Quads was a tame affair by their standards with Saintfield youngster Dean Colhoun running away with a gate to flag win from reigning Champion David Cowan with McLernon a charging third after Michael McAneney survived a roll at the first corner to finish fifth.

Race 2 was Limavady man McAneney’s atonement for his crash with a fine win after Colhoun pulled in with two laps to go after he thought he was running out of fuel while leading, he resumed to finish second with McLernon again third.
